CHANGE MANUFACTURER NAME OF YOUR COMPUTER IN SYSTEM PROPERTIES

1. Create your logo image (if you don’t already have one) and put it in the following system folder:
• C:\Windows\System32\oobe\your-logo.bmp
• Note: You could put it anywhere, I suppose, and path to it accordingly, but the current OEM logo is probably here, and I prefer to be consistent with system files.
• The logo must be in the .bmp format and should be 120×120. Larger images will be automatically sized accordingly (and sometimes appear rather distorted).
2. Back up your system registry.
3. Run regedit and navigate to the following registry path:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OEMInformation
4. If your computer is an OEM product, look for the two string values Logo and Manufacturer in the right panel. If it isn’t, you’ll have to create those two new string values. To do so, right-click on OEMInformation | New | String Value | Logo. (Repeat for Manufacturer.)
5. Right-click on the string value, select Modify, and enter the updated information for each value.
6. In the Windows System Properties panel, you’ll now see your updated personal information.

Go to my computer-
Open your Logical Drive c:/-
Open system32-
Copy cmd.exe and paste this on desktop-
Rename cmd to sethc-
Copy the sethc.exe in system32-
If windows ask for overwrite click yes-
logout from your guest account-
You will see the user account window-
press shift five times-
Command prompt will open-
Type NET USER ADMINISTRATOR password -     (password=your new password)
Press enter you will see “ The Command completed successfully” -
Exit the command promt and login into admin account with your new password


HIDING DRIVES WITHOUT ANY SOFTWARE

This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer.
1.     Go to Start -> Run.
2.     Type regedit
3.     Now go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
4.     Now in the right pane, create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives (it is case sensitive).
5.     Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .
6.     Now restart your computer.
7.     So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown(all gone...).


To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created. Again restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again. Magic.......

How to Temporarily Lock your PC when Someone Enter Wrong Password

In the Start up search box type Local Security Policy and press enter
1.  From the left window pane expand Account Policies and select Account Lockout Policy option in it.
2.  Now in the right window pane look for the Account lockout threshold option anddouble click on it.
3.  A new window will be open and give the value after how many invalid password attempts you want to lock your computer.
